Specially designed split collets can be placed over the bearing to securely hold the bearing enabling its removal from the fifth gear on later model transmissions fitted to many Ford and Asian vehicles. The outer sleeve prevents the puller jaws from spreading under load. Made from heat treated alloy steel.
